During the first half of July, we completed several connected interface stages: the quest journal, minimap, and quest markers. These elements help players keep track of events without spending too long outside Homefall's world.

Each serves a different purpose. The journal holds information about quests, the minimap supports local orientation, and markers connect a task with a place. The goal is not simply to add three separate elements, but to make them understandable within the same adventure.

We want to retain a sense of exploration. A useful interface should help players recall their intentions and understand a situation without replacing their interest in the location itself. That is the direction guiding our navigation work.

These July iterations are complete. As development continues, we will return to the interfaces, particularly where quests, locations, and player decisions meet.
