In July, we returned to Homefall's save system and completed another round of improvements. It is one of the parts of a game that rarely appears in a trailer, but it is essential to the experience of a longer adventure.

For an RPG built around exploration and choice, saving is more than a technical button. Players need to be able to step away and return to their playthrough, while their decisions retain their meaning between sessions. This makes the system an important part of development.

This update does not announce new saving modes or claim that the entire campaign is ready. It covers a specific iteration on the existing system. We want to distinguish that technical progress from broader promises about the game's completion.

Save-system work sits alongside the development of interfaces and other gameplay systems. Step by step, we are building both Homefall's individual scenes and the foundation that connects them into a playthrough.
