At the beginning of July, we moved Homefall to Unity 6. This is a technical update to the project, not a change to its genre, artistic direction, or core design pillars.

Engine updates are rarely the most visible part of a development diary. Players usually see the work on the world, characters, and systems, while the tools behind that work stay out of view. Yet this is the environment in which the team builds the game every day.

We are not treating the migration itself as a promise of higher frame rates or new visual features. Those claims require separate measurements and work on specific scenes. Updating the engine is not a substitute for optimisation.

The migration stage is complete. Development continues on the updated technical foundation, with our focus unchanged: exploring a transformed Earth, building a squad, and making tactical decisions.
